should state up front that I am not a master gardener; I just like
flowers, herbs and watching things grow. My Grandpa loved planting
gardens and I keep trying to turn my brown thumb into a very green
one like his.
Our
first garden theme area here started from necessity to keep area dogs and
rabbits out of my little garden patch. We made a fenced in cottage
garden. The idea for having several
different garden themes came about as a result of a
vacation trip to the Chicago Botanical Gardens. We spent the day
wandering through walled English gardens, Japanese gardens, water
gardens and cottage style flower & herb gardens. Why settle for
one style when you can have or at least aspire for all three! |
